19th April 2010: General Election 2010
The General Election has been announced for 6th May 2010. Some of you will have decided already who will get your vote, others of you may still be making up your mind. Some of you may not even be planning to vote.
This page will be updated regularly in the run up to the Election with links to websites that will hopefully inform you of what the difference parties and politicians stand for. Please do keep checking back for updated information. If you have links you think should be up here, please email Caleb.
BBC Election 2010 - Constituency profiles for York Central and York Outer. This site will give you the details of who is standing in the two York constituencies. The site also gives you impartial summaries of theparties and policies, as well as profiles of all the party leaders.
Party Politics Online Comparison - this website provides a very useful tool to compare the policies of different political parties.
Vote Match - an online tool from telegraph.co.uk. This tool asks you a number of questions then suggests which party your answers best align with.
Faithworks - This is an organisation supporting churches in their community outreach. This website features a good interview with Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg on their views of faith, churches and community engagement.
Evangelical Alliance - This is also a useful website giving you profiles of the political parties and their policies on key issues. The EA Election site is kept well up to date so definitely worth a look.
